Q. Is the slate on this pool table backed by fiberboard?

A. No, the slate is not backed by any type of board. It is not necessary for this model.

This is a very good pool table. It is non-slate so you will have to assemble it yourself but it is quite practical and does not take much time. The Oak finish is very beautiful and has leg levelers which is a nice touch. Plays well too

Great non-slate pool table. Good quality to it with a very good looking oak finish. Very stable and sturdy design. The automatic ball return (optional) works great, just like the leg levelers and the chromed (amazing looking) corners. Really like this table, especially for its price.
